Born in Rio de Janeiro, my parents immigrated to the United States in the early 90s and lived in various cities before settling in Portland, Oregon. Early on I developed an interest in photography, music and the arts, and left home for New York soon after my high school graduation. Enrolled in Parsons, received a number of academic awards, and eventually graduated with a BFA in Photography.

Throughout my time as a student and in post-graduate life I've worked on a freelance basis for a number of news agencies and print magazines. My commercial work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, GQ, and Details. When I'm not shooting commercially I'm developing my own portfolio of work, some of which has been included in group exhibitions in New York.
